Safeguarding is about protecting children, young people and adults at risk from abuse or neglect. We hope this website provides you with information about a whole load of issues.

However, if you are worried or scared about the way you or someone you know is being treated don’t bottle it up, tell someone - a parent, teacher, friend or REPORT IT.

WarningCall 999 if a child or young person is being abused, or is in immediate danger.

Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO)

The Local Authority Designated Officer, sometimes called the LADO, is the person in the council who manages concerns for children where the complaint is about an adult in a position of trust, for example a professional who works with children. If this is the case you can contact the LADO on LADO@bathnes.gov.uk
